Terms of Service

MKOS is a business system provided by Mekanys SRL (“Mekanys”) to its staff, and through its client portal to the people Mekanys invites from its clients and partners. By signing in you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use MKOS

Access requires a @mekanys.com Google Workspace account or an individually allow-listed address, and is granted for the purpose of performing work for or with Mekanys. MKOS is not offered to the general public and is not sold as a product. Access ends when the working relationship ends.

People from Mekanys's clients and partners may use the client portal by invitation only. Their access covers the tickets Mekanys shares with them on the projects they are invited to, and ends when Mekanys removes it or the engagement ends.

2. Acceptable use

  • Use MKOS only for legitimate Mekanys business.
  • Do not share your account, credentials or session with anyone else.
  • Do not extract client data, commercial terms or personal data from MKOS except as your role requires.
  • Do not attempt to bypass the permission model or access records outside your remit.
  • Post only what you are entitled to share, and nothing unlawful or harmful (no malware).
  • In the client portal, write as yourself: the team sees your name and organisation on everything you post.

3. Your Google account

Connecting Calendar, Drive or Gmail is optional and always initiated by you. You may disconnect at any time from the Setup screen or from your Google Account permissions. What MKOS reads and stores is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Connect only accounts you are entitled to connect — if an account belongs to another organisation, it is your responsibility to have their permission.

4. Confidentiality

MKOS holds client information, commercial terms and personal data. Everything you see in it is confidential and remains subject to your employment, contractor or non-disclosure agreement with Mekanys, both during and after your access. If you use the client portal, what Mekanys shares with you is confidential to the engagement and subject to your organisation's agreement with Mekanys or with the partner.

5. Estimates in the client portal

The estimate shown on a shared ticket is the team's current estimate of effort, in hours. It is not a quote, a fixed price or a commitment, and it changes as the work does. What your organisation is charged is set by its contract with Mekanys, or with the partner.

6. Ownership

MKOS, its source code and its content are the property of Mekanys. Work records you create in the course of an engagement belong to Mekanys or to the client, as the relevant engagement contract provides. These terms grant no licence to the software. Comments and files you post in the client portal remain yours or your organisation's. You allow Mekanys to store them and use them to deliver the engagement.

7. Availability and warranty

MKOS is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is under continuous development: features change, and availability is not guaranteed. It is not a system of record for statutory accounting, and its output should be checked before being relied upon externally.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mekanys is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of MKOS. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, where Mekanys SRL is established. Questions: hello@mekanys.com.
